About the Event
It is with great pleasure that I would like to invite you all to the Installation Dinner of Master-elect Melissa Longley and her Wardens. The Dinner immediately follows our Common Hall (the Guild’s AGM) where the Master and Wardens will be installed.
Pewterers’ Hall is located between London Wall and Gresham Street, and boasts a quiet secluded garden for pre-dinner drinks if the weather permits. Further information on the Hall is available here https://www.pewterers.org.uk
Proceedings will commence at 7.00 pm with a drinks reception, followed by dinner at 7.30pm.
The dress code is black tie and badges.
The cost of the three-course dinner will be £130 per person, and guests are very welcome.
As ever, this is a great opportunity to bring your family and friends to a Guild event, as well as professional colleagues and acquaintances, particularly if you think they may be interested in joining us. All are very welcome.
Speeches will be given by our newly elected Master, and by our guest speaker, Sarah Gordon, CEO of the Impact Investing Institute. The evening will also include some musical entertainment.
Please note that the booking deadline is close of business Monday 4th July after which no refunds can be made.
Please email me at clerk@guildofinvestmentmanagers.co.uk if you have any queries or are unable to book via the website.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Biagio Fraulo JP
Founding Clerk
NOTE:
There is an event called the City Race taking place that same evening, this will result in some road closures near the venue but I have been assured by the event organisers that access to the Hall will not be impacted.
NOTE 2: About the Pewterers’ Company:
The Pewterers' Company's first charter was granted by King Edward IV in 1473. It is number sixteen in the order of civic precedence among over a hundred livery companies. The Company has an active, involved and diverse membership of individuals drawn from a wide range of backgrounds. The Company’s principal activities are the support of the pewter trade in this country, the management of its charities, supporting the government of the City of London and the Armed Forces of the Crown and maintaining a lively and enjoyable corporate social life.
Today the Company maintains strong links with the pewter trade and promotes pewter via its annual design competition Pewter Live. Pewterers' Hall has a large collection of modern and antique pewter and continually commissions pieces from new designers.
